About Us

It all began in 1st grade.  The year Dana and myself would become best friends forever...literally.  Fast forward 20 years and here we are.  We have a friendship unlike any other.  We compliment each other in more ways than one.  We finish each others sentences, say the same thing at the same time, and get mistaken as sisters.  It has come to a point now where we just go along with it and say, "Yes, we are sisters!"  I think we have started believing this ourselves.

Meet Dana:(In the pink) Dana graduated college with a degree in Special Education.  She has been an elementary intervention specialist for one year.  She is going on her second year of teaching for the 2013-2014 school year.  She is in a classroom with a regular education teacher and they often co-teach their lessons.

Meet Kelly:(In the tan) Kelly graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently back in school for a master's in Special Education.  She is going on her 4th year of teaching.  In the past, she has had experience teaching 3rd, 2nd, and 1st grade.  This coming school year she will continue on her career as a 2nd grade teacher.

We are starting this blog to track out lives together as teachers.  We want to create and share lessons that can help other teachers, parents, students, and more.  We want to mix our knowledge and creativity together to see what we can come up!  We hope you can enjoy and fully utilize our blog as a guide on your own journey.
